"The Glory of God Is Man Fully Alive."  St Irenaeus

"When I first started painting, colours in the landscape suddenly became vibrant to me and my world became alive. Since that time my paintings have come to be a point of discovery of the meeting place between the world around me, the presence of a creator God in my world and the interior world of emotion."– Jacqui Harris

Cornish painter Jacqui Harris is known for her textural paintings where layers of painting, printmaking and collage weave together in a lively visual vocabulary. She finds surfaces where layers of history are partially revealed, inspirational, and in her combinations and layering of mixed media a sense of history is brought to the work.

Jacqui makes a daily walk, observing, collecting and drawing the tiny details of nature. She finds that this is essential to the process of developing her mixed media work.

Jacqui studied with Falmouth College of Art, followed by a BA (Hons) Fine Art completed in 2003 with Plymouth University.

More latterly Jacqui has taken a Foundational programme with Insider Art in Art Therapy, resulting in a new and playful approach to her art making.
